Berlin film festivals invite you – to film ecstasy!

16 Berlin film festivals organized by FESTIWELT e.V. are making a joint program: Open Air and Indoor!

Open Air: 9 pm to 11:30 pm

Admission on a donation basis: 3 bis 10 Euro

Also in attendance: festival organizers and filmmakers with behind the scenes insights. This is because one of the event’s goals is to introduce the audience to the respective Berlin film festivals and whet their appetite for them.

Other background is the advocacy agenda of FESTIWELT: as an association and network with over 20 member festivals, the organization has been persistently pursuing cultural policy with the Berlin Senate and Parliament for years. This is because many of the festivals receive no funding from the city – even though their initiators contribute a great deal to Berlin’s cultural landscape, bring guests from all over the world, fill cinemas, and show films to Berlin audiences that would not otherwise be seen anywhere else.
