Mark your calendars! In April 2026, Berlin will offer a stage for stories that resist, inspire and strive for change.
Across the globe, disinformation, hate speech and populist narratives are threatening the foundations of democracy. At the same time, global solidarity is under attack. People in crisis regions are too often misrepresented or ignored – in media and politics.
With the theme Where Stories Fight Back, we take a stand: we spotlight hopeful, thought-provoking stories that give visibility to those who are often silenced or oppressed.
Join the festival in Berlin from 10 to 18 April 2026 – for films that inspire, provoke and demand change. Because change begins where stories move people to act.
